Duct Tape DIY Wart Treatment

The internet is awash with DIY cures for common ailments. One such suggestion is that warts can be treated with duct tape or gaffer tape.

Proponents of the treatment say that it’s cheap and easy. Duct tape is something that many houses have available and you can simply use that to cover up your warts until they disappear.

However, there are one or two quite significant downsides to the treatment.

Firstly, it has to be the industrial-looking silver/grey duct tape. Clear duct tape won’t work. So if your warts are on your fingers or face, then you might want to think again, as it will look very odd and obvious. Especially if you are at work!

Secondly, the duct tape has to be worn all the time, furthering the embarrassment factor.

Thirdly, it’s a long term treatment. Suggestions are that you’ll have to cover your warts in duct tape for at least a couple of months before the warts go.
