Same Day Treatment for Xanthelasma
Unfortunately xanthelasma won’t go away of their own accord. They’ll either stay the same or grow bigger. However, if you have xanthelasma you can choose to have them removed in a straightforward procedure.
Our team of fully qualified and UK accredited doctors and surgeons are available in a choice of London clinics to remove xanthelasma quickly and painlessly.
The results is clearer skin on the eyelids/eye area.
Day Case Surgery
For best results, we recommend that xanthelasma are removed using a minor surgical procedure. This really is the simplest and most effective option for the removal of this problem.
It is carried out using local anaesthetic, so it doesn’t hurt at all.
Depending on the size and location of the xanthelasma, there may be stitches or else it may be just left to heal like a graze. You will be advised on this at the consultation.
Some clinics may recommend other techniques for dealing with xanthelasma, such as:
- Cryotherapy – freezing the lesion off with intense cold, using liquid nitrogen or similar
- Laser or radiofrequency
- Chemical peels
We do not generally advocate these methods at our clinics.
The location of xanthelasma by the eye means that any chemicals or technology must be used extremely carefully. Our doctors and surgeons find that greater precision can be afforded through use of traditional surgical techniques.
Xanthelasma Removal Pricing
|Two eyelids treated in same session
A consultation with one of our doctors costs £75. Prices for treatments carried out in the same appointment as the consultation will include the consultation fee (note: same day procedures are only undertaken where the procedure is deemed appropriate to do so AND the patient understands the full extent of the costs, risks and potential side effects and is consenting to proceed on that knowledge).
Every case varies and prices on this website are intended as a guide only. The price is quoted properly at face to face consultation with one of Cosmedics’ experienced doctors. To get an idea of the cost in advance, patients can choose to send a photograph of their skin concerns to email@example.com and we will ask a Doctor to give an opinion. However, this does not replace a face to face consultation.
